Thierry is such a wonderful tour guide! I was in Paris for a month and took three tours with him, and he was definitely the best tour guide I had during my time in the city. He is passionate about history and genuinely excited to share that passion with others. And he does a really great job of scaling the information, i.e. for the history buffs, he can go into a lot more detail, but still provides enough context so that the others on the tour don't feel lost of left behind. He takes time to understand what each person wants to get out of the tour and you really feel like you're on a unique experience with him. I will definitely look forward to joining him for his other tours the next time I'm in Paris!

Thierry’s tour was fantastic!! I learned so much about the occupation of France, as well as the resistance movement and finally its liberation. I particularly enjoyed the anecdotes about key figures during this time and learning the history behind buildings I’d otherwise walk past without much thought. Thierry also went above and beyond, leading us with humour and kindness. He was very knowledgeable, engaging, warm-hearted and his passion for history was contagious. I left the tour with a deeper appreciation of history and of Paris. I would 100% recommend it!

This tour was exceptional. Great story telling and we learned a lot. We had our two adolescents daughters with us and the Thierry did a great job keeping them engaged in the tour. We highly recommend Thierry as a tour guide for anything related to French history. He has a passion for what he does and provides a really enjoyable experience for everyone.

If you enjoy history, take a tour with Thierry. His passion and knowledge shine through every aspect of the tour. He was also very conscientious about making sure everyone was comfortable and well looked after. He was particularly good at catering to the different interests and learning styles of our family and best of all just fun and funny and kind. The private tour is a great option for a small family or group. Do not hesitate, you are in good hands!

I really enjoyed this walking tour! I learned so much more about WWII and many things that took place during the Occupation of France. Thierry’s knowledge is vast, and he explains things in a way that even children can understand. I will definitely take another one of his tours the next time I’m in Paris!

This is the second tour we took with Thierry while in Paris! We were riveted by his detailed account of WWII and how Paris was occupied and eventually liberated. As well, seeing the historical locations in person really made an impact upon us. Thierry is one of our favorite tour guides we've ever had because he is very detailed, an exceptional storyteller, very kind and considerate of his guests, and he really delivers a top notch tour. We will absolutely take another tour with him the next time we're in Paris! Merci beaucoup, Thierry.

We are so glad we went on this experience!! My husband knows quite a bit about WWII, and I am familiar with just the general outlines of the Occupation and Resistance. Thierry's presentation was interesting and enlightening to us both. He obviously has a passion for his subject matter so he is able to draw on his deep knowledge to answer questions along the way, and he is a consummate storyteller. I would gladly do another Experience with him!

Thierry’s tour was entertaining, informative, fun and friendly. We learned a lot about the experience of Paris (and France) during the occupation and liberation of the city by Germany in WWII, and visited some amazing locations in central Paris which have dark historical significance. Overall, a fascinating tour and an experience we’re very glad we signed up for.

Super! I booked the tour for me and my three teenager kids as my son of 17 loves the history of the 20th century. Thierry was perfect. He gave us information on the historical facts showing the places where they happened. It was so interesting that we forgot the hot temperature of the day (35 degrees). When, during the tour, we encountered a famous Parisian monument or place, Thierry always stopped to gave us extra information even if not linked to the subject of the tour. None of our questions was left unanswered.

Thierry is a wealth of knowledge and great storyteller. Offered stops as needed for water/coffee during the tour. He went above and beyond during our tour, even taking extra time to answer everyone's questions and finish some extra information/stories at the end of the tour even though it went over the initial time. We had a great time!

This WWII tour was amazing! Meeting up with the group was very easy. Thierry is a wonderful speaker (his English is great)! Weaves together all the elements of what was going on in Paris before, during and after the war. And being in the actual locations where these things happened and seeing what it looked like before and after....is a real journey in time.

Great if you know nothing on the subject but also if you have knowledge on the period. Thierry takes the time to set up the context which is great for those not familiar with this dark episode of French History. For the WW2 geeks, Thierry shares lots of anecdotes and if you know Paris, he will bring to your attention details on buildings, for example, you might have walked by more than once but had no clue of their historical importance. Thierry clearly enjoys sharing his love of History and as he is very knowledgeable, you will learn something and almost certainly remember it:) it is one of the big plus of such tours: instead of reading, you listen and travel in time when you get the chance to have such a great guide as Thierry. Be ready to walk though:)

This tour was a highlight of our stay in Paris! Amazing on all fronts - Thierry was warm and welcoming, knowledgeable and sensitive to the topic while injecting some humour where he could. He presented a balanced view and shared lots of info without feeling overwhelming. We also walked some lovely areas of the city. We would highly recommend this tour for history buffs but also anyone who wants to know more about Paris! Thank you Thierry!
