Sainte-Chapelle - Part 1: Inside
Do you like stained glass in churches? You can see plenty of that in any church in the world. Regardless of the architectural style, the stained glass windows usually only occupy a portion of the stone walls.
But the Sainte-Chapelle is not a regular church. Its walls seem to be completely made of glass. On a sunny day, you will be amazed by the light coming through the stained glass illustrating biblic scenes.
In my humble opinion, I consider the Sainte-Chapelle to be the #1 Jewel of Paris. Best of my knowledge, there are no other place in the world that was designed that way from the 13th century. And it was built in just ten years from 1238 to 1248!
